Southeast is distinguished for the intellectual challenge and range of learning opportunities offered. There are a number of reasons why you will find Southeast to be the place for you.

    Interfraternity Council (IFC)

The Interfraternity Council is the governing board of the eight fraternities at Southeast Missouri State University. IFC is led by seven elected, executive officers.  The voting membership is composed of two members from each of the individual chapters.  IFC is proud to be one of the driving forces behind Southeast's strong tradition of Greek excellence, providing leadership opportunities within the Greek system and University as a whole.

    National Panhellenic Conference (NPC)

The Panhellenic Association is the governing board of the six sororities at Southeast Missouri State University. It consists of an executive council and two representatives from each chapter. The association was created to help chapters develop and maintain a high standard of sorority life, and to build inter-sorority relation. Panhellenic believes in furthering education, and helps promote students' awareness of social issues through the Minimum Standards program and other activities. It also encourages the compliance of all University and National Panhellenic Conference's policies, and ensures that the chapters are following these policies.

    Fraternity & Sorority Life

Southeast Missouri State University has enjoyed a long and rich relationship with its collegiate Greek letter social organizations (fraternities and sororities).  The University supports these organizations' efforts to affect student development in positive and lasting ways.  As an important component of Southeast's co-curricular program for undergraduate students, Greek letter chapters further support the mission of the University by providing an enriched out-of-class living and learning experience.  Greek organizations have existed at Southeast since 1952 and are characterized by a tradition of involvement and leadership in campus life.
